Delivers

El Niño, a natural climatic phenomenon, has caused serious damage in Mozambique, deeply affecting the lives of thousands of people. This year, the weather conditions aggravated by prolonged drought and flooding resulting from El Niño have left many regions of the country in a desperate situation. The impact has been especially devastating in Caia, where severe drought has wiped out agricultural production, leaving many families without adequate sources of food.

In 2024, Mozambique is facing an alarming food crisis, with about 1 million people living in extreme food insecurity. Among them are children under five, who are the most vulnerable, suffering from malnutrition and its devastating consequences. While the 2023 harvest was reasonably normal in much of the country, the southern and central areas were the most affected by the lack of rain and extreme weather conditions.

In this challenging scenario, Oportunidade por África, deeply moved by the emergency situation, has come together to provide essential humanitarian support. Through the generosity of people like you, we were able to raise funds and food to help the communities affected by hunger. More than 100 families received food baskets with essential supplies, and, especially, over 40 children, aged 1 to 15, were directly benefited. This gesture was a crucial relief in a time of great need, especially just before Christmas when the spirit of solidarity shines brightest.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the donors who made this assistance possible. Every contribution made a real difference in the lives of these families, providing them with a moment of hope and dignity. The solidarity shown by each of you not only nourished bodies but also renewed the hope that, together, we can overcome adversity.

We sincerely thank the following donors, whose generous acts helped transform the lives of many people: Emily Farrer, Brooke Cannello, Staci A. Baker, Joseph Schlather, Kristin Cradic, Larissa Jaster, Ty Barker, Jace Junior, Noah Barker, Alan S. Barker, Stephen Woodbury, Mark Woodbury, Clifford Woodbury, Daniel Armada, Cliff Woodbury, Salt Creek Custom Ammunition, Lynda Kata, Teah Olson, Bodily Family, David Barker, Sam Barker, among others.

Without each one of your contributions, this humanitarian aid would not have been possible. Your donations are not just numbers on a list, but concrete acts of love and empathy that, without a doubt, make a huge difference in the lives of these families suffering from hunger and lack of resources.

Your help has brought relief and renewed faith in humanity to those facing the pain of hunger and food insecurity. With the continued support of caring people, we can keep offering hope to Mozambique and many other communities in need. Once again, we deeply thank you for your generosity. Together, we are making a difference and helping to build a more promising future for all.

I think this is very good, one of the ways to help the children of our Heavenly Father, to help those in need, and to make them happy.
