As part of the house maintenance efforts, we also had the privilege of donating construction materials to a family going through difficult times. There are six family members living in a very small house, and some of the children had to go to a neighboring house just to have a place to sleep at night.

After witnessing this situation, with the help of the brothers and sisters from the church, Opportunity for Africa donated roofing sheets, bags of cement, and other construction materials. It was truly wonderful.

Seeing the unity among the brothers and sisters and the joy on that family’s faces after this small donation was very rewarding. It was not much, but we gave a little of what we have, with love — and that makes all the difference.
