Hello everyone,
Today, we would like to share the inspiring story of our brother Gasto, who, despite the immense challenges in his life, never lost hope of continuing his studies at BYU and helping others whenever he could. He always dreamed of having a computer, something that seemed like a distant wish, but has now become a reality thanks to the generosity of each one of you. Through Brother Gasto’s prayers and the support of caring individuals, he now has the necessary equipment to move forward with his studies.
Previously, without access to materials and resources to study online, he spent a lot of time in the chapel, trying to find an opportunity to continue learning. Many thought he no longer had options, but in reality, he only wanted a chance to further his education.
Today, with the computer in hand and the possibility of paying his tuition through the Oportunidade África initiative, he is about to share this great blessing with his wife. He knows that with these opportunities, he can change his path and achieve the success he has always dreamed of.
In Mozambique, many students face a difficult reality. The demand for computers in the chapels and the lack of resources to pay for tuition at BYU is huge, and there are not always enough resources for everyone. Brother Gasto is just the first of many who, this year, will have their lives transformed by the generosity of all of you, thanks to the opportunity for africa initiative.
